Welcome to Dell Technologies Integrated Data Protection Appliance (IDPA). Expanding storage using the Appliance Configuration Manager (ACM) dashboard reference Dell Knowledge Article number 10659.
This video demonstrates how to expand storage capacity on the IDPA appliance using the ACM dashboard. Please ensure that the Capacity Upgrade License is valid and appropriate for the required capacity upgrade.
The following software actions are performed to expand the storage capacity of the appliance. Log in to the ACM UI. The ACM dashboard homepage is displayed.
Click the gear icon and select "Expand storage" in the Protection Storage panel. The "Storage expansion" window is displayed. Click "Browse" on the "License file" field in the Protection Storage section.
The "Open" dialog box is then displayed. Select the license file for disk expansion that you have received. In our example, the IDPA will be licensed for 48 terabytes for Protection Storage capacity.
If the license is valid, a green tick is displayed. Click "Expand." The "Storage expansion" window displays the progress bar. You can see the details of the storage expansion. Click "Finish." The ACM dashboard homepage is displayed.
As a result, the storage capacities are updated in the total backup storage. Reference the following for more information.
