In this tutorial, follow step-by-step instructions to safely remove various components from your system. Begin with prerequisites and safety guidelines, then proceed to remove the drive backplane cover, air shrouds, cooling fan cage assembly, side wall bracket, and right control panel. The video guides you through each process with detailed explanations, ensuring a smooth component removal experience.
Prerequisites
Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
Power off the system and all attached peripherals.
Disconnect the system from the electrical outlet and disconnect the peripherals.
If applicable, remove the system from the rack.
Remove the system cover.
Remove the drive backplane cover:
Press the blue tab and slide the drive backplane cover.
Lift the drive backplane cover from the system.
Removing the air shrouds:
Press the latch on the air shroud.
NOTE: To remove left air shroud, press the latch on right air shroud and the opposite way.
Hold the edges of the air shroud, and lift the air shroud out of the system.
Removing the cooling fan cage assembly:
Lift the blue release levers to unlock the cooling fan cage assembly from the system.
Hold the release levers, and lift the cooling fan cage assembly away from the system.
Removing the side wall bracket:
Press the blue side tabs to release the side wall cable holder.
NOTE: Move the cables out of the side wall cable holder.
Press the center tab to release the bracket from the system, and lift it away from the system.
Removing the right control panel:
Using the Phillips #1 screwdriver, remove the screws that secures the right control panel and cable cover to the system.
Remove the cable cover away the system.
Disconnect the right control panel cable and the VGA cable from the connectors on the system board.
Holding the cable, slide the right control panel out of the system.
NOTE: Observe the routing of the cable as you remove the right control panel from the system.

Installing the right control panel:
Align and slide the right control panel into the slot on the system.
Route the right control panel cable through the side wall of the system.
Align and slide the right control panel cable cover in the slot on the system.
NOTE: Route the cable properly to prevent the cable from being pinched or crimped.
Connect the right control panel cable and VGA cable to the connectors on the system board.
Using the Phillips #1 screwdriver, tighten the screws that secures the right control panel and the cable cover to the system.

Installing the side wall bracket:
Align the guide slots on the side wall bracket with the guides on the system and slide until the cover is seated firmly.
NOTE: Route the cables through the side wall cable holder.
Close the side wall cable holder until the holder clicks into place.
Installing the cooling fan cage assembly:
Align the guide rails on the cooling fan cage assembly with the guides on the system.
Lower the cooling fan cage assembly into the system until seated firmly.
Lower the blue release lever and press to lock the cooling fan cage assembly into the system.
Installing the drive backplane cover:
Align the drive backplane cover with the guide slots on the system.
Slide the drive backplane cover to the front of the system until the drive backplane cover fits into place.
Installing the air shroud:
Align the slot on the air shroud with the tab on the left or right air shroud.
Lower the air shroud into the system until it is firmly seated.
Replace the system cover.
If applicable, install the system into the rack.
Reconnect the peripherals and connect the system to the electrical outlet, and then power on the system.
