The Alienware Command Center (AWCC) is a software that controls features of your PC. It has a "Home" tab with quick access sections for color themes, thermal and power profiles, and game library. The "FX" section allows you to create and manage the "AlienFX" zone. The "Fusion" tab has options for overclocking, thermal management, power settings, audio settings, and audio recon. The software also allows you to customize the colors of your chassis and keyboard.
The Alienware Command Center is an exclusive software designed to control features of your PC. We have created a matrix online where you can check the features and versions available for each model.
When launching the Command Center, you will see the "Home" tab where you can find different quick access sections. You can select specific color themes as well as "Thermal" and "Power" profiles.
Below, you have the "Default" option and you can find your game library on the right. In the top right, you'll find the switch for "Dark" and "Light" mode and the app settings.
The "Library" tab shows your software and games all in one place. You can launch, sort, favorite, and customize options individually. You can also allow the application to automatically find games or software in your computer and then add those to your Command Center library.
The "FX" section allow you to create and manage the "AlienFX" zone. Let's edit our current theme first. For this, you have two areas to work with: the chassis and the keyboard.
Those can be selected in the top-right corner. On the chassis, you'll need to pick a zone before you can choose an effect. You can select any zone individually or select "All Zones" to modify the whole chassis section and apply a different color.
To change the power button color behavior, you must change the computer view and click on the number next to the power button. You'll notice the power button has a different profile depending on if the computer is plugged in or in battery mode.
Now, let's go to the keyboard section and play with the colors. For this example, we will select "All Keys" and move over to the left side panel. Under "Effect", you can select a behavior such as "Breathing," "Spectrum," and others.
Let's select "Breathing" and move over to the color wheel. Here you can create custom colors and set the options for brightness and duration of the effect.
In the "Fusion" tab, the icons on the left represent "Overclocking Profiles", Thermal Profiles, "Power management", Audio settings, and "Recon audio".
For "Overclocking" options, you can ask us questions via social media or check out our "Overclocking" guide. The "Thermal" tab will provide you with options to manage your fans and you can manually adjust curves to set your own criteria for this.
In the "Power settings" screen, you can manage your profiles, like "Balanced" or "High performance" and edit each accordingly. The "Audio" section integrates effects that you can modify or turn on and off.
There are several profiles already created so you can assign those to specific games. And finally, the "Audio recon" section allows you to modify the look of the "Recon" feature to have a better visual aid of where the sound is coming from in your games.
