Setting up a Dell inkjet printer is very easy. Take the printer out of the box. Remove any packaging material from the printer. Insert the paper input tray, and the language overlay panel.
Connect the power cable to the power adapter, and plug it into the printer. Connect the other end to the wall socket. Remember: Do not plug in the USB cable until prompted. Power on the printer, and set up the Date, Time, and Regional settings. Use the arrow buttons to navigate, and press 'OK' to select an option.
The printer then prompts you to install the cartridges. Remove the cartridge from its packaging. Rotate the cartridge cap counter clockwise, Until the seal breaks and remove the cap. Lift the scanner unit and insert the cartridge in the slot. Start with the color cartridges.
Run your index finger over the surface of the cartridge, Starting from the rear until you hear an audible click. Repeat the process for the other cartridges, and close the scanner unit. Load paper in the paper input tray. The printer will now print an alignment page.
Install the software from the CD that shipped with the printer. Connect the USB cable when prompted, And follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. For wireless and network installation, watch the other printer setup videos.
