In preparing the server, we'll have two 10GB NICs. We'll need to assign IP addresses to them. Currently, they are uncabled so that we can identify which NIC port is connected to which fault domain. Open up "Network and Sharing Center", then click "Change adapter settings".
Here you can see all network adapters installed on the server. Notice that "Ethernet 7" is disconnected. Once it is cabled, the status changes to "Identifying". Right-click and click "Properties". Disable IPv6 and configure IPv4. Configure the IP address to be on fault domain 1.
Since we're not routing iSCSI traffic, we will leave the gateway blank. We will repeat these steps for the network adapter on fault domain 2. Make sure that when you configure the IP address that it's on the Subnet mask for fault domain 2. Once completed, your iSCSI host will be ready.
