Launch enterprise manager client click on configure to access a storage center, log into the storage center. If the zoning has not been completed for the server, a pop up will occur. Indicating that the fiber channel HB A initiator is not connected to storage center.
You can see the worldwide name listed in the text to complete zoning log into your fiber channel switches and find out which switch this fiber channel. Worldwide name is logged into expand out the worldwide name for your fiber channel H BS.
Compare it to what is listed in the wizard. If the worldwide name is not logged into this switch, check out the other switch. Once you've verified your connection, you'll need to create an alias.
Add the worldwide name to the alias, create a zone for that server, add the server alias and the virtual alias. Add the zone to your configuration. Then save it and enable it. Verify what switch or fault domain.
This HB A is logged into and select the appropriate fault domain click. OK. The second HP A will show up as not connected. Choose your remaining fault domain. Find the worldwide name for the second switch and create an alias for it.
Create a new zone for the server, add the HB alias and the two virtual aliases add that zone to the configuration save and enable once you click. OK. Connectivity will be checked by the wizard.
If the zoning was not completed before running the wizard, it will show is not connected, click refresh connectivity information to update your connection status, click create server. This will apply best practices to the host.
If you want to create a volume for this host, check the box. This will take you through a volume creation wizard. Enter a volume name, the size of the volume and the replay information.
A warning regarding restarting your system will appear, click, OK, close out enterprise client manager and restart your system.
