In this video we are going to show you how to check if you have a Dell driver installed for your touchpad, or if you have the most up-to-date Dell driver. Go to Start > Control Panel > and then click Programs and Features.
If you do not see this option, make sure in the top, right-hand corner you have view by Large icons selected. In the program list, make sure you see the Dell Touchpad by Synaptics Incorporated (or by ALPS) on the list.
If you do, that means that you have the driver installed. You can also tell if the driver is installed if you see a touchpad icon on the task bar or the system tray.
If you do not see the touchpad icon on the task bar, click the up arrow to show the hidden icons. If you do not see the latest Dell driver installed, check out our video on installing drivers from our Support site.
