Adhere to safety guidelines. Remove the air shroud, cooling fan, and install back components securely. Ensure proper alignment and connection for optimal performance.
Prerequisites
Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
Power off the system and all attached peripherals.
Disconnect the system from the electrical outlet and disconnect the peripherals.
If applicable, remove the system from the rack.
Remove the system cover.
Remove the EDSFF E3.S rear drive module air shroud:
Press the release tabs and lift the air shroud out of the rear drive module.
Removing the EDSFF E3.S rear drive module cooling fan:
Disconnect the cooling fan cable.
Press the blue release tab and lift the rear drive module cooling fan from the rear drive module.
Installing the EDSFF E3.S rear drive module cooling fan:
Align and lower the rear drive module cooling fan into the rear drive module until the fan clicks into place.
Connect the cooling fan cable.
Install the EDSFF E3.S rear drive module air shroud:
Align the tabs on the air shroud with the slots on the rear drive module.
Lower the air shroud into the rear drive module until it is firmly seated.
