To perform an OS system restore with data backup access the “SupportAssist OS Recovery Tool.” Click on “Restore System.” Choose either “Local Restore” or “Cloud Restore.” Click on “Next.”
If at this point you haven't backed up your data, click on “Backup” and then select “Start Backup.” Check all the boxes under “Libraries” and click on “Next.” Insert a storage device that meets the required space specifications.
Select the device and click on “Next.” Click on “Next” to confirm the device. Once the backup has completed, click on “Done.” Select the reason why you need to perform a system restore.
Tick the box stating you understand the implications. Finally, click on “Next” and the restore process will automatically begin. This process may take several minutes. Once it's completed, click on “Finish.”
