iDRAC9 Version 4.0 introduces a new feature called Telemetry Streaming. This feature is only available with a Datacenter license. Telemetry streaming provides real-time report data of your server. The easiest way to activate telemetry streaming is using a custom server configuration profile.
For a tutorial on how to build such a profile, check our "How to Build a Server Configuration Profile" video. You can find the link in the video description. Now, look into the iDRAC and go to "Configuration", then "Server Configuration Profile". Open "Import" and click "Choose File" to locate the configuration file we just created.
Click "Open", select "iDRAC" at "Import Components" and "Import" to start the importing process. You can see the status in the "Job Queue". Once completed, set up your preferences log server tool at the iDRAC IP address and activate "Listen for TCP Syslog messages".
Thanks for watching.
