Welcome to Dell Technologies Integrated Data Protection Appliance (IDPA) Proper Shutdown process for the IDPA Appliance Reference Dell Knowledge Article #184357 This video demonstrates steps to properly shut down IDPA using the Appliance Configuration Manager (ACM), interface and Integrated Dell Remote Access Controller (iDRAC) Web interface.
Before initiating the shutdown, please review the following prerequisites. It is important to note that the ACM shutdown must be performed before the iDRAC shutdown. The user must wait for 10–15 minutes before going into iDRAC to shut down the appliance. Please perform the following actions: Log in to the ACM web interface.
On the ACM dashboard home tab, click the shutdown appliance icon. Now enter the ACM route password and click yes. The appliance shutdown progress will be displayed. Wait for the appliance to shut down completely. Once it shows 100%, proceed to iDRAC interface.
If the ACM shutdown process does not get completed successfully please check the errors and review the integrated data protection appliance product guide section shutdown troubleshooting.
After verifying that the appliance has shut down 100% in the ACM interface you can perform the appliance shutdown using the iDRAC interface Please perform the following actions to gracefully shut down the IDPA appliance. Open the iDRAC web interface and log in.
At the iDRAC dashboard, click on the Graceful Shutdown button. Click on OK. A dialog box appears to confirm success of the remote power operation. Reference the following for more information.
