Here is how to remove vertical white lines on the printouts From the list of Dell printers shown here. When white lines appear on your printouts, it could be due to stains inside the printer. Use the following steps to clean the raster optical scanner window: Open the printer's right cover.
Turn the blue lever counter-clockwise Remove the waste toner box. Stand the removed waste toner box upright. Do not lay the waste toner box on its side. This may cause a malfunction or a toner spill.
Take out the cleaning rod. Insert the rod into the holes below the toner cartridges To clean the raster optical scanner windows. Clean each window at least twice.
For Dell's 5130 printer, the location of the cleaning rod and holes Are slightly different, as shown. For the Dell E525W, remove the toner cartridges first. The location of the cleaning rod and holes are as shown.
After cleaning the holes, tap the cleaning rod to remove the loose toner. Return the cleaning rod to its original place. Put back the waste toner box. Turn the blue lever clockwise. Close the printer's right cover.
