When you book the service, one of our software specialists will call you at your chosen scheduled time to help diagnose and resolve your software-related issue on your Dell device. These issues might include applications, operating system, virus remediation, data migration, and backup and networking. Once you place your order for this service, you will select and schedule a time to perform the diagnosis over the phone.
At that time, you will receive a call from a Dell-certified software specialist. If the specialist cannot reach you at that time, look out for an email to reschedule your software callback at a time that is convenient for you. During the call, make sure your system is nearby and accessible.
The software specialist will diagnose and complete the necessary actions needed to resolve the software issue. In some cases, the technician might need to reinstall a copy of your original operating system during the repair. The reinstallation could result in data loss, but if needed, the technician will help you back up your data.
