In this video we show how to replace the memory module in an Inspiron 14 7445 2 in 1. Before you begin, create a recovery drive and back up all data. Turn off the computer and disconnect all the attached peripherals.

To begin, remove the four screws that secure the base cover to the palm rest and keyboard assembly. Then, loosen the remaining three captive screws. Using a plastic scribe, pry the base cover from the top left at the hinge, and then continue to work the sides to open the base cover.
Slide and lift the base cover off the palm rest and keyboard assembly. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board. Then, turn over the computer and open the display. Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds to ground the computer and drain the flea power. Lift the Mylar to access the memory module slot.
Now using your fingertips, carefully spread apart the securing clips on each end of the slot until the module pops up. Then remove it from the system board. Note: Repeat these steps to remove any additional memory modules installed in your computer. Now, let’s install the memory module.
Lift the Mylar to access the memory module slot. Align and slide the memory module into the slot on the system board. Press down on the module untill the securing clips click, locking it into place. Now, connect the battery cable to the system board. Place and snap the base cover on the palm rest and keyboard assembly.
