This CRU covers replacing a DPE power supply in a VNXe. Covered in this demonstration is the removal of the faulted component, and the installation of its replacement.
For procedure details you’ll need to reference the documentation. Here’s a view of the back of my system. Once identified let’s go ahead and remove the faulted component.
Please note that, for the purpose of this demonstration I’ll be using an unracked system. First let’s disconnect the AC power cord from the power supply.
Then we want to go ahead and pull the power supply out, by pushing the supply’s orange release tab to the right. Next we’ll install the new power supply.
Align the new power supply up with the slot, and slide it into place, and you should hear it click when it seats. And then reconnect the AC power cord.
This concludes the demonstration. You should go check the System Health page in Unisphere to ensure that the new part is marked with a status ok icon.
