If possible work on an anti static mat or table, you'll need a small Phillips head screwdriver, a plastic scribe and a small flat head screwdriver to complete this removal. Once you've completed the previous steps, turn the system over on its closed lid and loosen the eight captive screws securing the access panel with the system turned over on its lid.
The battery is located on the bottom right hand side of the system disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard loosen the single captive screw on the right hand side of the battery, lift the battery up and away from the laptop. The solid state drive or SSD is located in the bottom left hand corner of the system, remove the two screws that connect it to the device, move the SSD support bracket away from the drive's connector.
Take the SSD card off the thermal plate remove the singular screw that secures the bracket to the computer and lift the bracket out of the slot to reinstall the solid state drive. Place it back on the thermal plate, connect the SSD with its bracket back to the motherboard, slide it in at an angle and align the notch with the tab in the connector. Secure the screws back into place.
