Learn about Dell's online diagnostic tool. Dell PC Diagnostics can identify and resolve many common configuration issues, and diagnose hardware faults and assist in troubleshooting common Windows errors.

If you are having trouble with your system, but can still go online, run our Online Diagnostics. You can order replacement parts, run automated software fixes, and find troubleshooting help. Go to dell.com/support. Enter your Service Tag or select your product from the list. Click the Quick Test button to check for common hardware issues or create a custom test. We are running a Quick Test.
If you do not already have Dell System Detect on your computer, you will be prompted to download and install it. Read the Terms and Conditions, then check the box, and click Download. System Detect lets us gather information about your hardware and software.
The SupportAssist tool is also installed. This contains our diagnostic and monitoring software. The Quick Test takes about 10 minutes to run. If hardware failure is detected, whenever possible, we will offer you replacement parts or a Service Call. If no issue is detected in the Quick Test, run the Full Test or create a custom test.
