Hello. My name is Michael. Today I will be covering the OpenManage Enterprise Services Plugin Installation. Before getting started let's take a snapshot of the OpenManage Enterprise Appliance before the Plugin installation via the hypervisor. OK, once completed we will next log into the OpenManage Enterprise Appliance.
Once logged in you will need to access 'Application Settings’ and then ‘Console and Plugins’. We will refresh the ‘Check for updates automatically’ option and install the ‘Services’ plugin. In the plugin manager select ‘Services’ select ‘Next’. Allow the download to complete and ‘Next’. Accept the EULA and proceed with the installation. Select the ‘I agree I have captured a snapshot or a backup’ and hit ‘Finish’.
The snapshot is for a quick revert option in the event installation is unsuccessful. We'll need to allow a few minutes for the installation to complete. Once installation is complete, log back into the OME Appliance. Before we can use the plugin we must first register it with Dell. Select the newly installed plugin under ‘Plugins’ in the menu, and then ‘Site Health’. Select ‘Complete Registration’.
There'll be a hyperlink that you'll select, and it'll take you here, to this site. Provide your company name, site ID, such as ‘Dell’ for example, and then select your current site ID. Provide the PIN and it will email you the access key. Once the email is provided with the access key, you will enter the access key and provide the unique PIN. Complete the wizard for the access key registration and complete the settings for the contact details. Select ‘Next’ and your registration is now complete. Hit ‘Finish’, and that completes the installation of OpenManage Enterprise Services Plugin and registration.
