Hi, this is Lee from Dell Technologies today. I would like to share with you how to handle window, right? Protect. Let's open this PC I have CD drive and D drive. Each drive have 400 gig free space available. Let's go to the D drive and edit. Hello, text file. Let's save it. But the system prompting you, the media is in right protect mood and you're not allowed to save any file in the drive. Let me right. Click inside the D drive. I didn't have any option to create a new file. Let's go to the C drive trying to create a new files in C drive.
So we know the D drive is having a problem. Let's go to the D drive right click and go to the property. Check on the security. The administrator have full access permission, click. OK? To close it. Let's go to the command prom, log in as administrator in command prom we issue who am I command again? To confirm the user log into the server is administrator. Let's run check this on the problems drive to ensure the drive is healthy. OK? You can see from the output there's no any error is detected.
Go to the device manager, let's click on the dish dry. Let's see if the drive have any education mark or errors. It looks good on the D drive. Next we return back to command prom and use the this part command. This part command is a disk management tool in a windows command prom. Let's issue command list volume. It will list all the volume available in the windows. In this case, we should see C drive and D drive.
Since we know the volume three, the drive is encountered the problem. Let's issue command select volume three, the command will select the volume tree. Let's type the command attribute this to generate these three attributes from the output. The attribute show that this tree is in read only mode. The red animal can clear by using command attribute, this clear read only the system will show this attribute only clear successful.
Let's try again to attribute this command. The only attribute is change to know which mean it's already clear. Let's go back to the windows and click on the D drive. Try to edit the hello file again. I put escalation mark here. Yep, you can see the file now, right? Click on the disk drive, click new, you can create a new file in ad drive. Now the problem is fixed now. I hope you enjoy this video.
Thank you.
