How to Update Firmware Using iDRAC9

This video will demonstrate the update procedure of a Firmware Using iDRAC9.

Here’s how to update firmware using iDRAC9. Visit dell.com/support and download the update files to your local machine.  Log in to iDRAC. Click Maintenance, then System Update. Click Browse. Select the update file, then click Upload. Repeat if more than one update is required.

Expand the update details to view the current and available versions. Select the update to install.  For updates that don’t require a reboot, select Install.  For updates that do require a reboot, select Install and Reboot or Install Next Reboot.  Open the job queue to monitor the progress of the update.
