Welcome to the Atmos Maintenance WS2 Internal Disk Replacement demo. Previously we determined that node 2 has a bad disk 1 and have physically removed it. SSH onto node 2 and log in as root. Enter the OM report command to verify that the correct disk has been removed.
The results show that disk 0 status is ‘OK.’ And when we scroll down, we see that disk 1 is critical and removed. Insert the new drive into the drive slot, and verify it is up and running by entering the OM report command again. Notice the status is “OK” but the disk is in a rebuilding state and is 0% complete.
The OM report command will need to run several times, as the disk resynching process needs to be monitored until the progress has reached 3% completed. The internal disk resynch process will take approximately three to four hours to finish. This concludes the Atmos Maintenance WS2 Internal Disk Replacement demo.
