In this video, we show how to install and remove the USB 3.1 expansion card before installing or removing the USB 3.1 expansion card read through and follow the safety guidelines to protect your system from potential damage and ensure your personal safety. Before you begin, turn off the computer and disconnect all the attached peripherals on your computer.
Ensure that you always use ESD protection when working inside the computer to begin. If the release latch is set to the locked position, use a Phillips screwdriver to turn the latch to the unlocked position, then pull the release latch to release the side cover from the computer. Open the cover at an angle and lift the cover away from the chassis. Next lay the computer on its right side.
Now let's install the USB 3.1 expansion card to begin open the PC A latch, remove the PC IE filler from the chassis next to the PC IE slot where you wish to install the expansion card. The expansion card can be inserted into any available PC IE slot from slot 2 to 5, then align the expansion card with a notch on the slot and push it in, firmly, close A PC IE latch to complete the installation process to remove the USB 3.1 expansion card.
Open the PC A E latch and pull the card from the PC A E slot a line and place a PC IE filler into the chassis next to the PC IE slot. Then close a PC IE latch. Lift the computer back into position to close a side cover, align the tabs on the side cover with the slots on the chassis.
Then move it inwards until it clicks into place to set the side panel latch to the lock position. Use a Phillips screwdriver to turn the latch to the locked position.
