In this video, we demonstrate the steps to manually upgrade to Policy Manager 5.10. To begin, download the Policy Manager upgrade file from the Support site.
Log in to the Policy Manager virtual appliance with root privileges using SSH. Navigate to the folder in which you downloaded the Policy Manager zip file.
Type "unzip -q PolicyManager.zip -d" space and the folder in which the files must be extracted, and then press "Enter". The "PMupgrade.sh" file and other files are extracted to the desired folder. Type "./PMupgrade.sh" and press "Enter".
The list of tasks that are performed during the upgrade are displayed. Type "yes" and press "Enter". The upgrade is initiated and a success message is displayed after the upgrade.
If the upgrade fails, the process is rolled back and Policy Manager is restored to the earlier version. You can also check the docker update log file created in the folder in which the files were extracted earlier to identify the issue.
Now, you can log in to the Policy Manager user interface using the existing credentials. If you have configured LDAP server settings, you must validate the LDAP configuration after you log in to the UI.
