If you want to reset your touchpad settings to default, here's how you can do it in Windows 10. Before we go any further, it's important to know that how you reset your touchpad settings to default depends on whether you have any additional installed drivers from the manufacturer and which manufacturer actually built the touchpad.
First, let's take care of the settings in Windows 10, go into settings, select devices and then touchpad. Scroll down until you see reset your touchpad.
Then click on the reset button and this will get you back to the default settings. If your PC has additional TouchPad software installed, you'll need to reset your settings there to within the same page for touchpad settings.
Over on the upper right side, you will see additional settings. Clicking on it will open the Mouse Properties dialog box among the tabs shown. Look for the one that offers a way into your manufacturer's touchpad software.
Go into that tab and click on Restore Defaults to do the reset whenever you need help or have questions. You can always reach out to us through social media on Facebook or Twitter, or join in a chat on the Dell Community Forum.
