In this video, we will demonstrate how to remove and install the WLAN card.
Before removing the WLAN, read through the safety guidelines to protect your computer from potential damage and ensure your personal safety.

To remove the base cover, turn the computer over and loosen the eight captive screws that secure the base cover to the palm-rest assembly.
Using the flat-end of a plastic scribe, pry the base cover from the U-shaped indent at the top edge of the base cover and continue to work on the sides to release the base cover from the palm-rest assembly. Lift and remove the base cover off the palm-rest assembly.
Disconnect the battery cable from the connector on the system board. Turn the computer over and open the display. Press and hold the power button for fifteen seconds to ground the computer and drain the flea power After draining the flea power, close the display, and turn the computer over.
Now let’s remove the WLAN card. Loosen the single screw that secures the WLAN card bracket and WLAN card to the system board. You can now remove the WLAN card bracket.
Carefully, disconnect the antenna cables from the connectors on the WLAN card. Now, gently slide and lift the WLAN card away from the WLAN card slot on the system board You have successfully removed the WLAN card.
Now, let’s see how to install the WLAN card. To begin, connect the antenna cables to its connectors as indicated by the black and white triangles on the WLAN card.
You can now align the notches on the WLAN card with the tabs on the WLAN card slot and insert the WLAN card into the connector on the system board.
Now align the bracket on the card and tighten the screw to secure the WLAN card bracket and WLAN card to the system board. Now connect the battery cable to the connector on the system board.
To install the base cover, align and place the base cover on the computer. You can press the edges and sides of the base cover until it clicks into place.
Now, tighten the eight captive screws to secure the base cover to the computer. You have now successfully installed the WLAN card.
