Remove the screw that secures the M.2 2280 SSD to the palm-rest assembly. Slide and lift the SSD from the SSD slot. You have successfully removed the M.2 2280 SSD from slot 1. Now, let’s install the M.2 2280 SSD into slot 1. Align the notch on the SSD with the tab on the slot. Then, slide into the slot.
Replace the screw that secures the SSD to the bracket and palm-rest assembly. Next, since the battery is not a pre-requisite if you have disconnected the battery cable, ensure to connect the battery cable. Align the screw holes on the base cover with the screw holes on the palm-rest assembly, and then snap the base cover into place.
