Launch Web Tools to perform more detailed configuration management for a Brocade switch, see the Brocade Fabric OS Web Tools User Guide to know the usage about using Web Tools. You can find the User Guide on the Connectrix Brocade Manuals page here. For more Information, check our Knowledge Base.
Hello everyone in this video we will see how to launch Web Tools from SANnav. Web Tools is a graphical user interface which is used to manage a single Brocade Switch. It is embedded in the Fabric OS Firmware that enables administrators to monitor and manage single or small fabric switches and ports.
Web Tools can be launched directly from a web browser or from the SANnav Management Portal. Refer to the Brocade Fabric OS Web Tools User Guide for information about using Web Tools. Now let us log into SANnav. To launch Web Tools navigate to Inventory and then select Switches from the drop- down list. Now select the switch that you would want to launch Web Tools and click the down arrow to the right of the switch.
Then select View in Web Tools. Web Tools always launches in a separate web browser tab. Note that for the switches running FOS 9.0.0 or later if you launch Web Tools from the SANnav and then log out of SANnav or close the SANnav browser tab you are automatically logged out of the Web Tools.
This is how the Web Tools look like for the switch and now you can start exploring and configure as for your requirement. Please note that sometimes the switch does prompt for login credentials when launching Web Tools for switches running Fabric OS 9.0.0 or later if SANnav is configured with single sign on (SSO) Web Tools launches directly and you do not need to provide login credentials.
If SANnav is configured without single sign on (SSO) or for the switches running versions earlier than FOS 9.0.0 you must provide login credentials for the switch. In this case we can see that the switch is running at 9.2.0a hence this switch did not prompt for the login credentials.
Thanks for watching.
