This tutorial explains how to optimize your PC using SupportAssist. It guides you through running a full system scan, installing any available driver updates, and restarting your computer when necessary.
Follow these steps to optimize your computer with SupportAssist. If you're using a laptop, make sure to keep it connected to the charger throughout this process. Click on the Windows “Start” button to search for and open SupportAssist. In the “Home” tab, click on “Full system scan” and then press “Start”.
SupportAssist will run a full hardware scan and search for outdated drivers. If no driver updates are found, simply exit the app. If any driver updates are found, click on “View updates” and then “Install”. Wait for SupportAssist to download and install the pending drivers.
A system restart may be required to complete the process. Click on “Restart now” when prompted and confirm by clicking “Yes, restart now”. After the updates are complete, the system will boot into Windows normally.
