This video provides instructions on how to replace the toner on E310, 514, or 515 printers. The process is the same for all three models. First, turn off the power and open the front cover. Remove the imaging drum handle and unlock the toner cartridge by pressing the blue button. Replace the old toner with a new one and clean the corona wire. Finally, slide the drum back in, close the front cover, and turn the power on. Replacement toner can be purchased online at Dell Supplies, and old toners can be recycled at Dell Recycling.
Here's how to replace the toner on your E310, 514, or 515 printer.
We're using an E310 here, but all three models use the same toner cartridge, and it's changed in the same way. Switch the power off. Open the front cover.
Then pull on the imaging drum handle to remove it. Press the blue button to unlock the toner cartridge. Then remove it from the drum.
Unpack your new toner, and remove the orange protective cover. Fit the new toner to your drum. Clean the corona wire by sliding the blue tab to the right, then fully back to the left.
Slide the drum back into the printer. Then close the front cover and switch the power on. You can buy replacement toner online at dell.com/supplies. To recycle old toners, go to dell.com/recycling.
