In this video, we show how to replace the speakers on a Latitude 7350. Ensure that you always use ESD protection when working inside the computer. Before you begin, create a recovery drive and backup all data and disconnect all attached peripherals Then enter service mode. To enter service mode, press and hold the B key and then press the power button. The computer will boot up and the owner tag information is displayed on the screen. Press any key to proceed. The computer will emit three short beeps and shut down.
Before removing the base cover, Ensure that there is no SD card inserted in your computer. Loosen the eight captive screws securing the base cover to the palmrest and keep assembly. Then use a plastic scribe to pry the base cover starting from the recesses at the top edge. Pry open the top side and then lift it off the chassis. To remove the speakers, disconnect the speaker cable from the connectors on the system board. Now peel the tape that secures the cable to the palmrest and keyboard assembly.
Then unroute it from the routing guides. Finally, remove the rubber grommets and lift the speakers along with the cable off the chassis. To replace the speakers, replace the rubber grommets and set the speakers and speaker cable in place. Then route the speaker cable along the routing guides. Adhere the tape to secure the speaker cables. Finally, connect the speaker cable to the connectors on the system board.
To install the base cover, align the base cover with the screw holes and snap it to the palmrest and keyboard assembly Then tighten the eight captive screws to secure it in place. Now connect the power adapter. Finally, press the power button to turn on the computer and exit service mode. Please note the computer will only power on if the power adapter is connected.
