New TLS Certificates are being used for Azure, here's how to update Data Domain. More details and links to the new certificates are available in knowledge base article 192537. Log in to the Data Domain CLI. Run 'cloud unit list' to see existing cloud units, then 'cloud profile show'. If Azure is the provider check the existing certificates with 'adminaccess certificate show'.
If only 'Baltimore CyberTrust Root' is present, continue with these steps. Visit dell.com/support/kbdoc/000192537 and save the four indicated files to your local machine. Open a command prompt and navigate to the location of the files. Rename the DigiCert files to remove '.crt' from their names. You can copy the command from the KB article.
Next run 'certutil -encode' on the Microsoft files. Again, you can copy the command from the KB. You should now have four *.pem files. In DD System Manager go to 'Data Management', 'File System', 'Cloud Units', 'Manage Certificates'. Click 'Add', browse to the certificate location, select the first *.pem file, click 'Add' then repeat for the other three.
Only add the files ending dot pem. Confirm the files have been added, then click 'OK' to validate. Using the CLI run 'adminaccess certificate show'. Confirm the certificates have been imported and that the fingerprint strings match those provided in the kb article. Make sure no backups are running, then restart the file system using 'filesys restart'. Once complete, run 'cloud unit list' and confirm the status is active.
Thanks for watching.
