In this video, we will demonstrate how to remove and install the the wireless card. Before you begin, ensure that you turn off your computer and all attached peripherals.
And that you remove the base cover. To remove the base cover, loosen the three captive screws that secure the base cover to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly. Remove the four screws that secure and keyboard assembly.
Remove the two thumb screws that secure Starting from the top-left corner, use a plastic scribe to pry the base cover in the direction of the arrows to release the base cover from the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
Pry the base cover and remove it. Using the pull tab, disconnect the battery cable from the system board. Turn your computer over Ensure that the antenna cables to drain the flea power.
We will now proceed with the removal of the WWAN card. Lift the mylar that covers the wireless-card slot. Remove the screw that secures the wireless-card bracket to the wireless card.
Lift the wireless-card bracket off the wireless card. Disconnect the antenna cables from the wireless card. Slide and remove the wireless card from the wireless-card slot.
You have successfully removed the wireless card. Now, let’s see how to install the wireless card. To begin, connect the antenna cables to the wireless card.
Ensure that you connect the white cable to the Main connector which as a white triangle. Connect the black cable to the auxiliary connector which has a black triangle.
Align the notch on the wireless card with the tab on the wireless-card slot and insert the wireless card at an angle. Align and place the wireless-card bracket on the wireless card.
Replace the screw to secure the wireless-card bracket to the wireless card. Once the wireless card has been installed, are routed properly. Then put the mylar back into place.
Before you install the base cover, connect the battery cable to the system board, if applicable. Align the screw holes on the base cover with the screw holes on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly, and then snap the base cover into place.
Replace the four screws that secure the base cover to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly. Tighten the three captive screws that secure the base cover to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
