The following features have been added to Dell vProtect in version 19.9. RBAC VM/Storage instance-level permissions. Support for Microsoft Hyper-V and Nutanix Volume Groups.
Synthetic Backups with Data Domain Boost FS. Backup quotas for OpenStack projects. Notification rules for predefined events. Option to disable scheduled backups per policy.
Web UI backup and restore reports exported in PDF and HTML formats. Web UI configuration wizard with added support for Storage Providers and additional policy types.
Web UI task durations in the console. Support for CentOS 7, and the retention period extended to three years. There is now an option to restrict VMs and Storage visible in the UI, for specific users and allow only specific actions on them.
Support has been added for Microsoft Hyper-V for full and incremental backups. Incremental backups use the RCT API. An agent needs to be installed on the hypervisor.
Nutanix Volume Groups. Volumes shared by multiple VMs can be backed up using this new storage provider. Forever-incremental capability using DD Boost FS allows you to restore backups without merging all incremental backups.
A synthetic file system allows us to store and use incremental backups as if they were full backup files, but they take up a fraction of the full file size. Backup quotas for OpenStack projects.
This option allows you to configure limits for number of backups (total backup size) per Project in OpenStack environments. Notification rules for predefined events.
This option allows you to create more complex notification rules in which recipients will be informed about node unavailability, task failures, etc. Option to disable scheduled backups per policy.
There is now an option to enable and disable all scheduled backups per policy. Web UI - Backup and restore report export in PDF and HTML formats.

A new configuration wizard section to support Storage Providers has been added. Web UI - Task duration in console. A live timer has been added to show how long a task has been running for. CentOS 7 Support.
Installation can now also be done using the CentOS 7 operating system. Retention period extending to three years. The maximum retention period has been extended to three years.
