Your right to privacy is a concern to us

At Dell on the Internet we are helping you maintain control over your personal data while fostering the growth of a more interactive environment. For a summary of our corporate-wide privacy policy read Michael Dell's public statement to the World IT Conference, 25 June 1998.

Subscription

In a few areas on the Dell EMEA web sites, we ask you to provide information that will enable us to enhance your site visit or follow up with you after your visit. We request information from you when you subscribe to Dell Direct News, or provide feedback through our contact forms or occasional online surveys. In each of these instances we ask for your name, email address and other personal information that will be needed to supply the services you require. In the case of Dell Direct News, you will be able to 'unsubscribe' at any time.

The information you provide will be kept confidential and will be used only to support your customer relationship with Dell; the information will not be disclosed or sold to any outside organisation.

Internet Commerce

Store security is one of our highest priorities and we have devoted a great deal of effort to ensure that our online security measures help to safeguard your information. The Dell Store uses industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to allow for the encryption of:
•Potentially sensitive information such as your name and address
•Critically-sensitive information like your credit card number

See Store Security for more details on these security measures. If concerned only about the privacy of your credit card information, we encourage you to submit your order electronically without a credit card number and a sales representative will contact you to obtain this information.

We hope that once you understand the measures we employ to help ensure secure transactions and privacy, and the steps you can take yourself, you'll be as confident about the safety of your online transaction and order information as we are.

Dell has no desire or intent to infringe on your privacy while using the Dell EMEA web sites, and we will never provide your personal information to anyone else.
