City of Amarillo and Their Digital Assistant: Emma

Rich Gagnon, CIO and Assistant City Manager, from City of Amarillo joined us on stage at Dell Technologies World to discuss their implementation of a digital assistant named Emma. The city is using Emma to deliver services in over 62 languages, answering common citizen questions and turning resident interactions into conversations.

Adam Glick is the Senior Director of AI Solutions Marketing for Dell Technologies. He leads the organization responsible for AI product and solutions marketing across ISG products and with our key partners including NVIDIA, Intel, AMD, Meta, Hugging Face, Red Hat, IBM and others. Before joining Dell, Adam had spent the previous 20 years working in technology and aiding customers in their digital transformation journeys. This included work for Amazon (AWS), Microsoft (Windows, Office, Azure), and Google (Google Cloud). He started his career working in engineering shipping Internet Explorer and several versions of Windows. He helped transition Exchange Server, and later Office, from packaged products to cloud services (Exchange Online and Office 365). He then joined AWS in 2013 to build product and solutions marketing. At Google Cloud, he led the effort to make Google Cloud one of the “big three” public cloud vendors and was responsible for the launch of their hybrid and multi-cloud strategies with Anthos. Adam has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Seattle University.
