In a nail-biter that came down to a difference of fewer than 50 votes, John Byrne was able to fend off a fierce performance by Polycom’s Nick Tidd, winning it 51 percent to 49 percent.

As Round 2— the Sweet 16—voting begins, we need your help in defending John’s win so he can move on to the Round 3, or the #CRNChannelMadness Elite 8. In this round, John Byrne faces off against NetApp’s Bill Lipsin. In Round 1 voting, Bill Lipsin trailed reigning Channel Madness champ, Sandra Glasser Cheek of Brocade Ruckus; but won the round in a buzzer beater—winning with a 10 percent lead, 55 percent to 45 percent.
As you can see, John is up against some fierce competition in the Sweet 16 round! Your help in voting for John to advance him to the Elite 8.
