Dell’s AMD-Based Notebooks

Between Engadget, Gizmodo and our own website last week, most of you are probably already aware of the Inspiron 1501 notebook.  Today, we’re also introducing our first AMD-based Latitude notebook, the Latitude 131L.   Besides the processor type, the prices are getting noticed—both start around $600. So what does that entry price point get you? A pretty powerful notebook with a 15.4″ widescreen display.  In their entry-level configs, both utilize AMD’s Sempron processors.  From there, both support a range of processsors up to the dual-core Turion 64 X2. Both notebooks offer several wireless connectivity options. For more details, click the Tech Specs tab from the Inspiron 1501 product page.
