Designing modern data centers for AI—and with the right use cases for organizations to extract value from—can be challenging, due to the complexity of building seamless generative AI (GenAI) workflows. And there are few, if any, one-approach-fits-all-use cases to simplify the process of creating custom applications with GenAI. IT still has to work closely with data scientists to understand which use cases can be deployed—from chatbots to code copilots to sales proposal creation engines—and both teams are faced with different processes, vendor solutions and coding, in order to start planning each of their use-case projects. What is needed to simplify planning and development is a consistent blueprint framework that not only quickly delivers outcomes but also speeds up custom application development and deployment. Enter NVIDIA NIM Agent Blueprints as recipes for AI success.
AI Factories Become Faster Application Factories
Generative AI is swiftly moving from potential value into practical use for organizations. This shift is grounded in applications that provide strategies for turning enterprise data into value for the end user. From smart customer-facing digital assistants that drive superior experiences to retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) that puts business data to work, core GenAI use cases are rapidly becoming accessible with complete software workflows that run optimally on reliable and performant infrastructure.
When Dell announced the AI Factory with NVIDIA at the NVIDIA GTC conference earlier this year and subsequently expanded our portfolio with NVIDIA NIM at Dell Technologies World, customers gained a powerful foundation for AI operations and an optimized microservices architecture that delivers custom applications easier and faster, from workstations to data center to edge deployments.
Our AI factory approach with NVIDIA enabled IT teams to build AI data centers and operations with a consistent framework approach. Now NIM Agent Blueprints enable data scientists and developers to build custom applications with a consistent software framework approach, on this accelerated infrastructure.
The Key to Accelerating Use Case development
NIM Agent Blueprints provide a jump-start for developers creating AI applications from a catalog of pretrained, customizable AI workflows. The first set of NIM Agent Blueprints provide reference applications building and deploying digital human technology for customer service, generative virtual screening for accelerated drug discovery and a multimodal PDF data extraction for enterprise RAG. With these customizable NIM Agent Blueprints, data scientists and developers gain a head start on creating their own applications using NVIDIA’s advanced AI tools and an end-to-end development experience for each use case, as well as the ability to modify them with their own data for domain-specific use cases.
As users interact with AI applications, new data is generated and can be used to enhance the AI models on which applications rely, creating a continuous learning cycle that NVIDIA calls AI flywheels. The AI flywheels connect the NVIDIA AI Foundry for model customization using the NVIDIA NeMo framework with a production environment aimed at expediting data-driven workflows. This results in learning-cycle improvements for a business’ use cases.
The blueprints will be available via the NVIDIA API catalog and include sample applications built with NVIDIA NIM and partner microservices, reference code, customization documentation and a Helm chart for deployment. Enterprises can deploy NIM microservices in production with the NVIDIA AI Enterprise platform.
Automate Use-Case Deployment Across Your Business
Navigating the large market of AI solutions can prove to be overwhelming for developers seeking to leverage generative AI and obtain better outcomes. But unlocking AI success doesn’t have to be complex once an AI-ready infrastructure is in place. The Dell AI Factory with NVIDIA delivers an end-to-end solution with accelerated building blocks, including:
- PowerEdge servers with NVIDIA H200, H100 and L4 Tensor Core GPUs, NVIDIA L40S GPUs and NVIDIA networking
- Generative AI workflows optimized for NVIDIA AI Enterprise
- Dell Professional Services to help deploy the platforms and assist users at every stage of the solution cycle
With NVIDIA AI Enterprise, NIM Agent Blueprints can further optimize AI use-case development and deployment for developers and data scientists, helping organizations transform their data into value faster.
NVIDIA NIM™ Agent Blueprints in the Dell AI Factory with NVIDIA will be available later this year. For further inquiries, contact your Dell sales representative.
