To ensure fair evaluation, Gartner maintains rigorous criteria for recognizing vendors with a high customer satisfaction rate.
Gartner defines Enterprise Backup and Recovery Software Solutions as vendor-developed solutions that capture a point-in-time copy (backup) of enterprise workloads in on-premises, hybrid, multicloud and SaaS environments. These solutions write the data to a secondary storage target for the purpose of recovering this data in case of loss. They can be offered as software-only, hardware or virtualized appliance, or as a SaaS-based, backup as a service.
Globally, Dell Technologies was recognized with an overall customer rating of 4.9/5 star reviews based on 110 reviews submitted as of November 2023. These reviews give insight into an end users’ willingness to recommend each vendor, and Dell received a 96% Willingness to Recommend. In addition, Dell was the only vendor within the report to be designated as a Customers’ Choice in all segment views: Large Enterprise, Midsize Enterprise, Public Sector, Government, Education and North America Region.
