Hello. I’m Wim Michiels (right on the picture), proud CEO of Proviron, a company founded by my father, Leo Michiels, in 1977. Based in Belgium, our company specializes in the development, production, and marketing of chemicals, serving nearly 100 countries worldwide with 7 different business units and a turnover of 100 million euros. We aim to make the world a better place by developing sustainable processes and products in the field of chemistry.
Sustainability. It’s one of our key pillars. It’s literally woven into our DNA. We are determined to reduce the environmental impact of all our products and processes. Our name – Proviron – derives from the words Process and Environment and reflects our commitment to better processes and products for a cleaner world.
Maintaining agility is key and was a real challenge during the COVID-19 crisis, when remote working became a new norm. Jos Bailleul, our ICT manager, emphasizes the importance of agility in IT, and this is where Dell Technologies plays a crucial role.
We began working with Dell when we encountered laptop problems. Switching to Dell resolved those issues, and since then, we have built a strong relationship. Last summer, we had to choose between hyper-converged and 3-Tier for our hardware. Together with our dedicated Account Manager at Dell Technologies, the presales team offered tailored advice which led us to partner with Orbid. The combination of Orbid and Dell ensured smooth implementation and a more secure IT environment.
