In the ‘In the SpotLight’ series, Arnaud Bacros, Dell Technologies General Manager for Belgium and Luxembourg, talks with colleagues in organizations partnering with Dell Technologies. This time, Arnaud speaks with Sophie Decock, Country Manager Belux at VMware.
As most events in 2021, the annual VMworld in Barcelona happened to be virtual as well. Nevertheless, VMware did a lot of announcements. “Many organizations are still working within silos. At VMware, we are very well prepared to provide a multi cloud platform to businesses for all the applications they are using”, Sophie Decock explains. “During VMworld, we announced VMware Cross-Cloud Services. It is a new integrated family of services, to run, build and secure all the applications.”
The BeLux Country Manager analyses the partnership between VMware and Dell Technologies. “We have been working together for many years. Always to make sure we can integrate our solutions together and deliver them as a best of breed appliance to end users.”
Sophie Decock addresses two solutions in particular: Multi Cloud and Digital Workplace. “Multi Cloud is a joint solution offering of VMware Cloud on Dell hardware.” Regarding Digital Workplace, she points out that many organizations nowadays are working with a so-called hybrid model. “They want to offer their employees all applications any time on any device, from any location – but in a secure way. Security remains a hot topic for every customer.”
Sophie Decock recognizes that many organizations are looking for new services. They try to enhance existing services and modernize them while adopting cloud native applications at the same time. “With our common platform, VMware and Dell Technologies can enable developers to use the latest methodology.”
