PowerEdge custom servers
The PowerEdge portfolio offers a broad array of servers to support a diverse set of workloads. PowerEdge servers can be deployed from the edge to the cloud to the core, supporting traditional applications, virtualization, and cloud-native workloads.
The PowerEdge family includes several
types of servers that have been configured to serve specific business needs.
Tower serversTower servers are designed to support small businesses that typically require fewer than three servers. Combining affordability and ease of management, tower servers deliver the processing performance and storage capacity that can address a wide range of workloads in workplaces and remote offices.
Rack serversPowerEdge rack servers maximize performance across a wide range of applications. Built with AMD or Intel processors, a
rack server is configured with up to four sockets (where each socket supports a
server processor) in form factors from 1U to 4U.
Rack servers also offer enhanced memory speeds and fast NVMe storage options to match server performance to each workload for greater efficiency. Rack servers also enable easy expansion, as businesses can start with a
small server rack and gradually add capacity and processing power as needed.
Modular infrastructureModular infrastructure servers combine blade-based and rack-based technology on a single chassis to deliver optimal density, efficiency, and manageability. These flexible, modular solutions help optimize IT environments for traditional, new, and emerging workloads while providing a path to a modern, software-defined data center.
