• Pro Bono

Partnering with nonprofits to support their digital transformation journeys

    • Barriers to digital transformation slow the critical work of nonprofits. That’s why Dell has committed to use our expertise and technology to help 1,000 nonprofit partners digitally transform to better serve their communities by 2030. Pro Bono is a portfolio of programs that connect our talented and diverse employees with nonprofits around the world that need help on their digital transformation journey. To date, this program has helped 535 nonprofits, delivering over 24,800 volunteer hours.*

    • How does it work?

Dell Technologies has developed a portfolio of Pro Bono programs that connect our talented and diverse employees with nonprofits around the world that are facing barriers to digital transformation. Dell team members can nominate any nonprofit to be invited and apply to participate in our Pro Bono programs.

Team members may also nominate a nonprofit on behalf of a Dell customer. By partnering with nonprofits to resolve these operational challenges, we can accelerate and amplify the essential work that nonprofits are doing to improve social conditions for the communities in which we work and live.

    • Pro Bono Consulting Workshops

Pro Bono Consulting Workshops are short-term, skill-based volunteering engagements that match between 15-30 nonprofits with a customized team of 3-6 Dell team members who are experts in the issue the nonprofit is seeking to address.

      • Work collaboratively over an 8-hour intensive workshop
      • Rooted in supporting Digital Transformation
      • Offering support based on technical knowledge and expertise
      • Building technical competencies in every engagement
    • Pro Bono Projects

Pro Bono Projects are longer-term Pro Bono consulting projects in which small teams of Dell team members are matched according to their professional skillset to work collaboratively, part-time, with a nonprofit partner over a period of one to six months.

      • Deep and meaningful impact comes first
      • Customer-centered approach to partnership
      • Ensuring sustainability of long-term impact
      • Transparency: sharing learning and tools

    • How have we helped

Ask anyone who works for a nonprofit, and they’ll tell you that the two things that hold them back the most are time and unrestricted funding to spend on operational costs like staff and technology. Automating processes to free up time to spend on meaningful and important work is a huge benefit for nonprofits. By reducing operational issues with the help of Pro Bono volunteers, nonprofits can expand their impact and reach.
