Delivering a new standard in the development of enterprise capture processes, the InputAccel CaptureFlow™ Designer tool provides a drag-and-drop development environment enabling customers to rapidly build document capture processes in just a few hours, at a substantially lower cost and with less resource.
The new InputAccel CaptureFlow Designer tool, which is available today, provides system integrators, value-added resellers, IT organizations and power users the following key benefits:
- Develop capture process in a few hours without having to write any code;
- Accelerate deployment by requiring fewer maintenance resources resulting in improved time to value and lower total cost of ownership;

- Leverage Captiva’s modular architecture and provides flexibility to handle the most complex enterprise capture requirements;
- Rapidly deliver custom demonstration and proof of concept examples enabling partners to differentiate from other solutions and win new business.
The Document Capture Process
A document capture process is a set of steps and instructions that defines how a document gets processed once it is ingested into Captiva. A typical series of steps include scan, image enhancement, document classification, data extraction, validation and delivery to content management systems or business applications. In many cases, a process will have conditions built in for handling image quality problems, data recognition validations, routing certain document types for review or custom steps for business rules or integration with other enterprise applications. In the past, developers were required to write Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) code for these processes which could take several days depending on the complexity.
InputAccel CaptureFlow Designer Pre-Release Software Program
More than 100 customers and partners worldwide participated in a pre-release software program which gave them early access to InputAccel CaptureFlow Designer. Held in an early access lab on the EMC Community Network, the pre-release program gave customers and partners the opportunity to provide feedback about the product.
InputAccel CaptureFlow Designer tool is included with InputAccel. Customers using InputAccel 6 can download the graphical design tool for free on EMC Powerlink.
