With the newest VNXe3200 Unified All-Flash Array (AFA), EMC is offering an all-flash solution to meet the needs of SMBs and enterprises alike, at a very reasonable price point of around $25K. Now, customers can leverage industry-leading EMC flash technologies at our lowest price point yet.
EMC has offered the VNXe3200 in a hybrid flash configuration since 2014 and has earned recognition and praise from customers, partners and IT experts for its simplicity and efficiency as an entry-level storage solution. However, we’ve recognized that sustained and predictable performance can also be a requirement in this market segment for certain workloads, which is why we’ve put together aggressively priced all-flash configurations for the VNXe3200 to address this performance need. The VNXe3200 Unified AFA is available in a slim 2U form factor and it comes packed with the performance capability to deliver up to 75,000 IOPS.
Offered in 2TB, 3TB, and 7.2TB all-flash configurations, VNXe3200 Unified AFA keeps its enterprise feature-set, management simplicity, and Connect Proactive Support capability while providing a real price/performance alternative to some emerging products in the entry all-flash segment including those from other big-name storage vendors.
VNXe3200 Unified All Flash Array: More Flash for Less
POWERFUL
Using MCx multicore optimization features, the VNXe3200 Unified AFA is poised to support hundreds of virtual machines on a single system while delivering up to 75K IOPS (3TB), of consistent performance and horsepower to accelerate a variety of virtual server, database, and transactional application workloads.
AFFORDABLE
Starting under $25K, the VNXe3200 Unified AFA is the most affordable unified AFA in its class. EMC estimates that the VNXe3200 3TB all-flash configuration is expected to sell for around $25K. We think this price for a 3TB unified AFA will be very competitive compared to similar offerings in the entry all-flash market.
UNIFIED
The VNXe3200 Unified AFA integrates SAN and NAS into one system – delivering both file and block storage in a single array while supporting multiple storage protocols (CIFS, NFS, iSCSI, FC). It comes ready to use out of the box with automated, application-ready features and solution-focused software that makes the system easy to manage, provision, and protect. Furthermore, the VNXe3200 Unified AFA offers customers flexibility to add more flash to the system or convert it to a hybrid flash array to deliver the performance of flash with the lower economics of disk, further reducing $/GB.
The 3TB VNXe3200 Unified AFA is available to order in Channel Express (CXP) today and the 2TB and 7.2 TB configurations is expected to be available in July 2015 in Channel Express.
