Bryan Jones (@BryanEJones), senior vice president and general manager of OEM and IoT Channel Solutions joins me on this episode of Dell The Source to provide some insight into the Internet of Things (IoT) and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) strategy at Dell Technologies.
Last October, we held an event to discuss that strategy with media and analysts, after which one noted:
“…under the Dell Technologies family of companies, the company can deliver more of a complete bundle at the infrastructure, management, and development layers,” said Patrick Moorhead. “Dell Technologies simply has most all of its bases all covered, and I am sure this will give the competition something to think about.”
Senior IoT analyst at Moor Insights & Strategy, Chris Wilder, published a research paper on Dell’s new strategy following the event, which you can read here if interested.
The IoT business unit is leveraging technology from all seven strategically aligned Dell Technologies businesses to create IoT Solutions for our customers. The OEM component is taking those IoT solutions, adding intellectual property, and taking the enhanced solutions to market to make a difference.
