It’s hard to believe that just a few weeks ago, a few of us were facing an angry hippopotamus while on a casual walking safari! In fact, the entire Dell Technologies Partner President’s Circle experience seems a bit like a dream. Being within a few feet of leopards, rhinos, elephants, giraffes, and observing them in their natural environment created lifelong memories, and I was so honored to be able to share those experiences with our amazing Dell Technologies Partner President’s Circle winners.
Dell Technologies Partner President’s Circle is a prestigious contest that recognizes the champions of champions: partners who continually defy gravity and who delivered outstanding results throughout the past financial year. Now in its second year, the Dell Technologies Partner President’s Circle contest is integral to our overall partner recognition strategy. The year-long contest spans all partner tracks, and each winner receives an incredible trip for two to a thrilling destination. This year, that destination was Johannesburg, South Africa and the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve.
The Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve sits next to Kruger National Park, with game lodges nestled deep into its grassland. These breathtaking plains are home to the Big 5: elephants, rhinoceroses, Cape buffalo, lions and leopards. Our partners and their guests were lucky enough to spot all 5—and so much more!
Delivering on our commitment to Progress Made Real
As we participated in such a special experience, everyone on the trip was acutely aware of how incredibly lucky we were to be guests in such a treasured environment. Every day, Dell Technologies strives to make a positive impact, driving social and environmental good in the community with Progress Made Real.
In South Africa we partnered with Code for Change — a non-profit organization that’s teaching coding skills in underserved schools. Together at the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve, our partners and Dell Technologies staff took part in a giving back experience, preparing tote bags brimming with essential care items for three local community projects:
- Lillydale Home-Based Care Centre, which provides services to local impoverished children and elderly residents.
- Swa Vana Care Centre, which provides physical, social and emotional support to the many children and orphans with HIV in the area.
- Jabez Preschool, which provides access to education and healthcare in the small village community of Justicia B.
It was an absolute privilege to be able to be able to support these impactful organizations. I watched as our partners contemplated what to write in their personal messages to the new moms, the recipients of the packs, and am confident the work we did together brought happiness to the community. I’d like to extend a special thank you to President’s Circle sponsors, Intel and Microsoft – for without them, this experience would not have been possible.
Looking ahead to our next President’s Circle contest … and amazing location
Since photos of the South African President’s Circle trip appeared on Twitter, I’ve received a number of questions on how to participate in the next Dell Technologies Partner President’s Circle contest. It’s not too late to get in the running – you still have three-and-a-half months to advance to the top of the leaderboard. Full contest criteria can be found here, and these are the actions that will boost your organization to the top:
- Grow your total revenue in the Dell Technologies Partner Program
- Double down with Dell Storage
- Attach more Dell Services, and
- Sell more VMware through the Dell Technologies Partner Program
Next year’s destination is Reykjavik, Iceland. Known as “The land of fire and ice,” and home to some of Europe’s largest glaciers and the world’s most active volcanoes. This luxurious five-star experience is sure to be a trip of a lifetime, and I can’t wait to experience it with you, our incredible partners!
