Climate Change

We’ve heard your ideas about how Dell can extend its environmental leadership, and your requests on Dell.com to make our ‘Plant a Tree for Me’ program more broadly available. As a result, today we announced the expansion of the program to all U.S.-based consumers and businesses with no purchase required and for an extended set of products. Through this program, Dell partners with The Conservation Fund and Carbonfund.org, non-profit environmental organizations, to plant trees in sustainably managed forests, with 100 percent of donations going toward tree-planting efforts. And next month, we’ll expand the ‘Plant a Tree for Me’ program to include businesses and consumers worldwide. To view the expanded portfolio of products that are now a part of the “Plant a Tree for Me” program, read today’s post on Direct2Dell. The blog post by Tod Arbogast, Dell’s director of sustainable business, also outlines other examples of Dell’s commitment to environmental stewardship. You can also read more about Dell’s point of view on climate change in an opinion article posted on IdeaStorm today. What do you think technology companies can do to help address climate change?
