VMworld concentrates a vast majority of the world's foremost experts in virtualization, cloud, and convergence into San Francisco for one week. With the aggregate of the attendees' brain power, one could power two Dell TechCenter labs. VMworld runs from August 30th to September 2nd. And this year, the first day will include labs and break-out sessions in addition to the opening of the Expo floor. The whirlwind of customer conversations converging next generation datacenters toward a virtual era built on clouds infused with intelligent data management (IDM) is about to begin. The Dell VIS-ion is clear and predicated on being open, capable and affordable.
The Dell activities and break-out sessions are summarized on Dell EqualLogic at VMworld 2010. The Dell centerpiece is the "Accelerating the Virtual Era" Super Session led by Steve Schuckenbrock, Dell President, and Kris Fitzgerald, Dell Services CTO. Steve and Kris will showcase Dell Virtual Integrated System (VIS) architecture, how this architecture will help organizations to run and manage IT infrastructure more effectively and efficiently and highlight current Dell customers who have achieved enterprise efficiency with Dell and VMware. There will be a few surprises during the session so attendees should cruise in and check it out. Don't forget to stop by the Dell Booth (#401) and talk with Dell subject matter experts about Dell's solutions portfolio for the Virtual Era. While you're in the booth, be sure to check out the Dell demos and theater presentations on Solutions for the Virtual Era.
Update: Over on TechCenter, I published more information about what Steve will discuss, along with registration details and location specifics. If you are attending VMworld, I hope you'll take a few minutes to check it out.
The Dell TechCenter Crew (@DellServerGeek, @DennisMSmith, @SANPenguin and @KongY_Dell) will be at the show to meet with the Dell customers, advocates, and social media influencers in the industry. We will be live tweeting from VMworld using the #Dell #VMworld hash tags. Follow our activities and engagements on Twitter, Yammer, LinkedIn, the TechCenter and Direct2Dell blogs, and the TechCenter YouTube channel.
Finally, I have been deeply humbled and honored that VMware has recognized me as a VMware vExpert for 2010. At VMworld, I will get to meet with the other 300 vExperts for 2010, distinguished VMware R&D leaders, and Steve Herrod, VMware CTO, at the VMware vExpert exclusive event. I look forward to writing a recap of the vExpert experience at VMworld.
