VMWorld 2014, EMC is back and bigger than ever! Working alongside our federation partners, EMC will continue our long standing tradition at VMWorld. You won’t want to miss the EMC Solution Exchange, be sure to stop by the EMC Theater, Ask the Experts, register for great prizes and check out the vLabs in our booth! We will be talking Hybrid Cloud, Redefining Flash and Software Defined Storage. I recently ran into @aaronchaison, fortunately there was a camera nearby; it is AMAZING how much activity is happening as we prep for VMWorld 2014. Wait, did Aaron say 17 breakout sessions? Yes 17! Some of the highlights:
“The impact of Flash on Virtual Servers, Databases and Virtual Desktop Workloads”, hosted by Itzik Reich will cover XtremIO and taking full advantage of Flash for your virtual environment. The session will include real customer examples of virtual server, database, EUC and SAP deployments on XtremIO. Definitely a must see. (ID EUC2712-SPO, Wed Aug27, 12:30pm)
Another interesting session ‘Virtualizing SAP: Design Guidelines and How They Are Used in EMCs Its Successful SAP Implementation”. That is specifically how EMC has internally virtualized and deployed SAP for internal systems. The session will cover guidelines for sizing and architecting an SAP stack on vSphere and how to manage a successful implementation. The internal rollout includes Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) on HANA, and a new data warehouse (BW) platform all in three months! WOW! (ID EUC2712-SPO, Wed Aug27, 12:30pm)
That’s just the start; check all of them out www.emc.com/everythingvmware and of course you don’t want to miss Chad’s sessions:
Software Defined Storage – What’s Next? (ID INF1864-SPO, Tue Aug26, 4:00pm) & vSphere Storage Best Practices: next-Gen Storage Technologies. (ID STO2496-SPO, Tue Aug26, 6:00pm) Did anyone tell Chad his sessions are back to back?
See you at VMWorld2014!
